What started as a little carryout window in Olde Town East, Columbus, quickly blossomed into an “Oh, man, we kinda need a restaurant to keep up with this demand”. So, they set their eyes on one of the city’s most coveted food hubs—The North Market.
Our task was to take this burgeoning business to the next level in branding, while still maintaining it’s raw, authentic roots—something we agreed to label urban abandoned. While red duct tape and actual chicken scratch was too little, pure and perfect design was too much. We landed in the middle, building (literally, with our hands), conceiving, creating, writing, designing and crafting everything—from hand-painted large menu boards to a wall made of recycled pallets and chalkboard paint for commenting to wayfinding signage produced on cardboard. And everything in between.
